Day 01 : Abroad - Delhi
Midnight : Upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, our executive
would be honoured to hold your name on a placard
(Please look for him in the main arrival lounge) to receive and welcome
you. After meeting and greeting, transfer to Hotel. Check in at the hotel
after receiving a warm Indian welcome and relax for the rest of the day
amidst the superb hotel facilities. Delhi's many-layered existence is tantalizing
and will entice you into a fascinating journey of discovery. Overnight at
Hotel Uppal's Orchid (A five star graded hotel).
Day 02 : Delhi
Akshardham Temple, a modern day Wonder of the World will begin your insight
into ancient and modern Delhi. Moving on to the Red Fort, you can watch
the magnificent artifacts and royal dresses at the museum inside the fort.
From here we proceed in bicycle rickshaws through the bustling streets of
Chandni Chowk to Jama Masjid. Perched just opposite the mighty Red Fort
the grandeur of Jama Masjid is best appreciated during Islamic festivals
- (optional visit). As you stroll through the bustling markets of Chandni
Chowk, don't miss out on some great bargains, especially in traditional
clothes and silver trinkets. We then drive past the imposing India Gate,
the Parliament building and the Rashtrapathi Bhawan. Return to the hotel
for an overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 03 : Delhi - Sikandra - Agra
After an early breakfast leave for Agra, a distance of about 205 kms (4
hrs) by road. En-route visit Sikandra mausoleum of the great Mughal king
Akbar. Enjoy a lavish buffet at the "Hotel Mughal Shereton Agra". Post lunch
visit the world famous Taj Mahal - where you can explore its Hall of Public
Audience and the Royal Pavilions. The symmetry and the gleam of the marble,
along with the intricate carvings and graceful Arabic script - I think you
could be blind and still feel affected by the calm beauty of the complex.
Enjoy an exciting rickshaw ride to the gates of the majestic Taj. You can
browse through the market as Agra makes a good market for its inlay work
on marble, pick up some of these artifacts as a souvenirs and memorabilia.
Night stay at the hotel.
Day 04 : Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Bharatpur
We begin the day with a visit to the Agra Fort, from where you can enjoy
the beauty of Taj at a distance of about 2 kms. We then drive to Bharatpur
- well known as Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary - home to an astonishing range
of flora and fauna. Birds come to this national park in waves. Enroute we
visit Fatehpur Sikri- a perfectly preserved red sandstone town, where you
will experience the combined influences from both Hindu and Mughal architecture.
Arrive at Bharatpur and transfer to your hotel. Evening at leisure to enjoy
a boat ride to the nesting colonies of birds. Dinner and overnight stay
at Udai Vilas Palace (A Heritage Hotel).
Day 05 : Bharatpur - Ranthambhore
Morning have a completely rewarding experience of seeing an overwhelming
range of birds during the rickshaw ride into the Keoladeo Ghana National
Park. Later we drive to Ranthambore - famous for the wildlife sanctuary-
which is home to India's royal tigers and also considered to be the best
place in the world to photograph the tiger in its natural habitat. Arrive
at Ranthambore & check into a hotel. In the evening you can have a park
ride. Night stay in Ranthambore.
Day 06 : Ranthambhore - Mundia - Jaipur
Early morning 3 hrs Jungle safari in a Canter (a vehicle which is open on
the top) to enjoy the sheer beauty of nature and its creations in the national
park. Sitting on elephant back you can look for tigers, a good sight to
watch. On our way to Jaipur we will be visiting Mundia Village for a short
while where you will experience the cordiality of Rajasthani villages. The
charm of spending some time amidst the colourful villages is no less than
staying in heritage palaces of Rajasthan. Later drive to Jaipur - the fabled
"Pink City" of the desert. Arrive at Jaipur and check in at Mundia House
(a family home) for an overnight stay.
Day 07 : Jaipur
After a leisurely breakfast, we leave for the majestic Amber Fort. Riding
on elephant back up to the fort, located against the backdrop of the wooded
hills is just thrilling. Later we visit the 'Palace of Winds' also known
as Hawa Mahal, where you can peep through the delicately screened and carved
windows just as the royal ladies used to. We then head to the City Palace
Museum where you can enjoy an imposing blend of traditional Rajasthan and
Mughal architecture. You can go for a walk in the ancient markets of the
city in the evening. Late evening enjoy dinner amidst traditional Rajasthani
dances at Chokhi Dani (an ethnic village resort). Night stay in Jaipur.
Day Day 08 : Jaipur - Samode
Browsing through the markets in Jaipur, where skilled craftsmen display
jewellery, paintings, carvings and colourful textiles, will be an enjoyable
experience for you. Post lunch we leave for Samode. You will be booked in
luxurious air-conditioned dune coloured tents, furnished with lavish accommodation
and every other comfort to make your short stay at Samode Bagh a unique
and most memorable one. Evening camel safari to the village interiors will
help you experience the charm of rural world. On return to your royal tents,
enjoy a grand dinner along with colorful folk performance of local folk
music and dance over a magical camp fire. These magical moments are sure
to dazzle your eyes. Overnight at Samode Bagh.
Day 09 : Samode - Delhi
You can enjoy your morning tea amidst the beauty of Samode Bagh, a garden
paradise also famous as a romantic hideaway. We then leave for Delhi. The
rest of the day is at leisure, relax your weary body and soul by going for
an Ayurveda massage or spa bath offered by the hotel, or just soak yourself
into warm waters of swimming pool with a glass of a chilled beer, other
alternative is just loose yourself into your cozy hotel bed and enjoy a
movie stuff - mind it, movie should be from Bollywood. Overnight at the
hotel premises.
Day 10: Delhi - Abroad
After morning breakfast we leave for Qutub Minar as no travel to Delhi would
be complete without a visit to this 5 storey minaret. We will have our lunch.
In the afternoon you can stroll through the market areas of Delhi, pick
some ethnic dresses and designer embroidery bags and shoes from the most
famous lanes of Janpath.
